Below is our perfect 1 day itinerary for Dubai. But make sure you at least have 12 hours of Layover if you want to explore. In case of having only 5-6 hours we would suggest you to visit the Burj Khalifa and the Dubai mall.
Our itinerary is for travelers who are having at least 12 or more hours of layover in Dubai.
Visit the Jumeriah mosque in the morning, It is said that it is the most photographed mosque in all of Dubai and sunset Beach, take a stroll on the beach.
With the view the Emirates tower from the outside, head to Dubai Mall. The mall has everything, plenty of shops for the shopaholics (nearly 1300 stores), or if you are not that much into shopping you can visit the Ice skating or aquarium. The mall opens up to an outdoor Downtown area, where the Musical Fountain is located, and is right at the foot of the grand Burj Khalifa.
Visit Burj Kalifa The entry to At the Top observation deck can be booked online (for 125 Dirhams per adult) as well as bought at the entrance at 400 Dirhams per adult, and you can also pick a time of your preference. Enjoy the panoramic view of Dubai from the 124th floor!

Afternoon and Evening
Book a ride for 4×4 Desert safari. Make sure you have the bookings in advance, Most of the safari cabs leave at 3PM. The Safari time would be of 5 hours but it has everything at one place including fun, food, adventure and entertainment all in a few hours. A 40 minute drive and all you can see it sand and a bumpy sand dunes ride. You can do a camel ride, sand boarding and try out a henna design on hand or feet. They also serve you a barbecue dinner, hookah (sheesha) and also belly dancers performing their show in the starlight. An experience truly magical.
If you dont want to go for the desert safari, you can explore the Dubai marina and the palm islands, Visit Palm Jumeirah, which has the renounced Atlantis hotel. Visit Marina Mall for some shopping (optional) or can go to Dubai Marina for the scintillating view of the Yatchs, buildings or take a boat trip. Plenty of restaurants as well for great food.
In case of less time, you can also prefer the 24 hours hop on and off Bus Tour, which covers all the major landmarks of Dubai from the world famous Burj Al Arab to the traditional gold and spice souks.
But it all depends on how much time you have and how much you want to spend in Dubai.
