Craving for something adventurous ? Paragliding is a flying sport that is one of the most adventurous and thrilling sports. The flight in the open air without any motor makes you feel like a bird flying high in the sky.
There are numerous places in the whole world where you can enjoy the ride and also have proper training about how to maintain all the tricks for paragliding.
But where are the top places in the world to go paragliding? Here’s a run-down of the most well known sites in the world.

Hautes Alpes, France

The paragliding school near the Alps is suitable for both beginners as well as  professionals. During the winter this is a renowned skiing resort, but in summer it becomes a paragliders heaven. Flying in the Alps – the biggest mountain range in Europe – is indeed an incredible experience.



Castelluccio, Umbria, Italy

Castellucio is a little village in the Appenine Mountains, located at a height of 1452 meters. It is known for its colorful valleys as the colorful flowers bloom in spring and summer. You can go anytime of the year here but if you want to capture  the blooming flowers in the fields go there in spring and summer – from late May to early June. And no doubt, a paragliding flight experience over this valley will be unforgettable.

Wengen is a village in Switzerland that offers an opportunity for excellent view of mountain range and many more amazing sites. Watching them from up in the sky will be a lifetime achievement for you. Here tourists are provided with various activities, that enable to explore the Jungfrau-Aletsch site protected by UNESCO.




Bazaruto Archipelago, Mozambique

If you want to enjoy the unspoiled version of nature and exquisite places to view while paragliding, you must visit the Bazaruto Archipelago in Mozambique. It is situated 750 km away from the mainland and untouched by modern civilization. The crystal clear sea water and sandy beaches are ready to please your eyes.

Queenstown, Otago, New Zealand

A resort town in the South Island is perfect for paragliders around the world at any time of the year. Built around the Lake Wakatipu it is surrounded by the Southern Alps, that make it an excellent platform to jump and fly.



Danyang, South Korea

People who have the enthusiasm for flight sports must never miss to go to this place. Two and a half hour drive from Seoul and you reach naturally a heaven for paraglide pilots. Seiser Alm, Dolomites, Italy

The famous skiing site is incredibly suitable for paragliding. From the rocky cliffs paragliders fly over the largest Alpine meadow in Europe. You can go there all year round. However, in winter you will have to wear warm apparel. The flight with the pilot takes about half an hour – enough to enjoy the flight and the scenic views.



Dune du Pyla, Gironde, France

One of the most famous paragliding sites in Western Europe. Dune du Pyla due to the weather conditions and wind serves perfect for paragliders to exercise different techniques and of course admire the wonderful views. It is a great site for experienced paragliders.

Bir Billing, India

Bir-Billing is very popular paragliding spot with launching destination at 2400 m height on Dhauladhar Ranges in Himachal Pradesh. The village of Bir Billing is used as the landing ground. The para glide starts from the hill top at Billing, and the landing ground is at Bir. The outstanding view of Dhauladhar hills and Kangra Valley and the green meadow haunts the champion paragliders from the whole world.
